2010 E550

Sport Suspension

My 98 E430 Sport sure feels like it handles differently than a regular E430 but I can't find anywhere that the Sport has any different suspension, shocks etc. Anybody got any info re this?

The sport model includes different wheels, lower body treatment, different front spoiler and black instead of chrome trim. No suspension change from the standard model. Go to mbusa.com and look at the sport option on an E class

Yeah, I looked at the MB site and saw that. I was just wondering if it was different in 98 cause I swear it handles differently. Have you driven a Sport.

No I haven't, the option was like $4000+ and I couldn't justify it without suspension upgrades. Maybe it's your tires that improve the handling

Could be the tires and wheels. My 97 E420 had 16" wheels and it sure handles a lot different than that car. You'd think for 4K you'd get a little more.
