Best Tires for 95 C220?
I have been told that I need new tires. Does size matter? It currently has 195/65/15. MB dealer wanted over $600 for all of them. I don't know anything about tires and need some serious advice. I was told I could get a set of Continental for about $385. The problem is: I have nothing to compare them to. I expect to drive this car for 1 more year, give or take a few hours.
Questions:
1. I have seen in this message board that you could use tires other than those recommended by MB. Is this advisable just for looks? If so, what tire would make my C220 look best?
2. What is the best quality/performance/noise reduction/comfort/price combination?
4. How much should I expect to reasonably pay? I dont' want the dollar store's tires, but I also don't want a set of tires that cost more than the car.
5. P.S. It rains like crazy in Florida, so I'd like a set that will do a great job in the rain.
