Unhappy am i totally screwed??? lug nut/bolt stripped and hub ring possibly stripped..

so today i got my 20" wheels.. and the shop recommended i put them on to see if they clear my calipers in the rear before i mount tires on them, because the rear are 20x10 for my w215 cl500. so i put them and as i was bolt tighting them it appears as if the bolt lug is too long.. So i took it out and it was a pain in the *** and when it came out it appeared as if the lug bolt was stripped.. do u guys think i also stripped the hub ring inside.. i tried putting another bolt on but it was tough to put it on...

So i went to the shop and purchased some new lug bolts 14x1.5 little bit shorter then the stock ones...

If i damaged my hub ring how much is it to replace the left rear??

please help... iam pissed of this has happened....

W203 slightly modified
The rear flange costs $180 - $220 for a pair plus I would advise you get the bearings repacked just as a servicing matter.

If you do something like rethread the flange you will be talking no advice from the member who "nearly was killed when the wheel came off".

There is no cheap answer. New parts only.

i was reading in a previous posts that the wheel hubi is made of cast iron and is very hard to strip them with your hands.. It also mentioned to clean the hub and then lube new lug bolts and try reapplying them etc..

i will try to see if i can find that old thread up...
