What type of paint/finish on silver AMG 5x double spoke wheels?
I have a few curb rash marks on my '03 S55 AMG double spoke 18" wheels.
Does anyone know the type of paint and finish used on these wheels?
I have checked out a couple of websites for wheel repair shops that specialize in checking/repairing/refinishing wheels. Some say cost can range from "around $125 for silver refinish" to as high as $250 for "Hypersilver" finish. But I want to go into them pre-informed about the original equipment finish from Mercedes.
So what is the finish on these wheels and who made them for Mercedes-Benz?

Last weekend I picked up their MB wheels booklet from the Parts Dept that lists all the available wheel options for the various class vehicles you can buy......each wheel lists the finish. Their wheels are either MB Wheels or AMG wheels......all made in Germany I believe. You might want to get one of these booklets.
