Two questions for Luke?
Recently, I purchased a set of silver finish ASA Type 8 wheels for my W(126). Thus, I want to know the proper procedure for maintaining the finish on these wheels. Also, I purchased a set of Avon Tech m550 tires: Rear: 245/50wr16; Front: 225/55wr16. Hence, what is the proper tire pressure for this vehicle with this tire/wheel combo? Should I follow the recommended tire pressure chart on the inside of the gas lid? Thanks!

Thank, Luke for the helpful tips. Oh, by the way, the wheel combo came from tirerack. Hence, that is the most efficient order service that I have encounted. I ordered the wheels last Wednesday and they arrived at my doorstep two days later on Friday despite the busy holiday season. I will post my tire performance results soon. However, I know that I will not be disappointed!

No! I started to order online. However, I hesitated to do so because if uncertainty of the security of the site. But, don't view this as a pun against tirerack. I'm sure your site is secure in view of the quantity and service reviews from customers. Basicly, I'm still old school when making purchases with a credit card.
Again, after research in the early 90's, I had recommended tirerack to my father who at the time owned a Volvo 760 Turbo with a +2 kit (222hp and a stock twin-turbo Z's worst nightmare). Hence, I must say that tirerack hasn't changed but has continued to offer unparalleled service for those who want the biggest bang for the buck! Thanks!
