Bolt fitment question
I was looking into purchasing a set of the AMG 230 rims (20 spoke rims from SL55) for my 03 W209 CLK. When I asked for a quote from my local MB dealership for pricing reference and I was told that although the bolt patterns are the same for all MB vehicles, the diameter of the bolts on my car are slightly smaller than that of the SL, CLS, and S series. I was told that because of the different bolt diameters that the larger wheels will not sit 100% properly and could be a safety concern.
I've seen others out there with these rims. Is what the gentleman in the parts department telling me is true ?
Should I be concerned with the fitment issue if I plan to go ahead an go with these rims?
Thanks!
Nate
Also, there are way better looking (and even possibly better performing) wheel options aftermarket, than those rims you are looking at....

So if this is true then rims aren't interchangeable between all vehicles then.
In that case which vehicles have rims that are interchangeable with the w209 CLKs?
If I purchase aftermarket parts is there a different bolt size I need to be looking at other than the 5x112 bolt pattern specs and the offsets?
Is there a range of offsets (like a max and min) or is it plain and simple +35 only?
Thanks for you input guys.
