Question Is there a difference between Pirelli P-Zero Rosso

with "red letters" and those without (all black sidewall) with respect to tire construction, compound or thread design?

Dealer claims that tire supplier have 255/40 ZR x 17 tires but only with red letter. They offered to change at no-charge my front tires (225/45 ZR x 17) with red letters so all 4 tires will match.

I know that the P-Rosso first appeared with the red letters and just wondering if the all-black versions are improved ones. Should I agree to take their offer?

TIA for your advice, Luke!

depends on the weather
The P-Zero Rosso with Red letters are no different than the versions without the red letters. Typically OE tires do not have the red letters and non-OE versions have the red letters.

Jam, the lettering on the sidewall is just cosmetic. The tread pattern is the same whether the letters are slanted or not. By the way if you have a choice go with the slanted letters, its a different look.
I have had Pzero Rosso's for about 10k miles on my E55 and they are already bald in the rear with about 60% tread on the fronts. I dont really like the way they feel at higher speeds so I just ordered a new set of 4 S03's from the TireRack. I have not heard one bad thing about the S03's and the price is awesome at the TireRack too.
