I know a ton about these kits. We used to be a dealer and then switched to Brembo. In fact we still have a kit on one of our race cars.

Any questions I can certainly help you to answer.

Just let me know.

Thanks

Brad,

how come evosport switched to brembo? is brembo a better brake system? the importer ultimategarage.com, doesnt really have an updated site, do you know if movit makes a brake system for the current MB models? Judging by the prices of the kits for BMW's Movit seems to be cheaper than brembo and offer a large disc size (380mm) for around $4100. Is ultimate garage the only place in america i can get them?

Tezta,

We switched for a number of reasons, these being the highlights:

1. Availability - the Movit kit is ONLY available from Steve D at the ultimate garage. If he is gone or sick or out of town, whatever, you are NOT getting replacement rotors! That is a problem from a supply standpoint. Brembo you can get anywhere!

2. Inconvenience - All rotors have to go to New Jersey to be turned before putting on the car. So for new rotors they all have to come from NJ. That is a major PIA. Brembo, you can get anywhere.

3. Caliper choice - Movit uses the same 993 Turbo caliper for 99% of their applications. Brembo uses 1 of about 12 different calipers in 99% of their kits. This means Brembo better chooses the right caliper (fluid capacity, piston size, trailing edge v. leading edge) while Movit uses just one regardless of the car. Edge to Brembo as this will better mesh in with stock master, slave cylinders and ABS pump.

4. Pricing - Brembo offers better pricing to the customer when you consider total price, replacement parts and the shipping to and from New Jersey that is needed with Movit. Now this has changed a bit as Movit has dropped their prices some.

That is basically it. I really like the Movit kits in general. However, I just thought that Brembo offered a slightly better kit (being more closely matched to each car) and definitely could allow me to better service our customers.

BTW, we do have 13" and 14" Brembo kits available, let me know and we can work you up a custom quote.

Thanks

Brad
