Oy...my head is going to explode!! (Just another what to do question) - W210 4MATIC

Combed through this section to find members with like-problems...here's my Qs.

I have an '02 Special E320 with 17X8 (type F I believe) wheels wearing MAXXIS 93v M+S 235/45/17 (25.326)
(Has anyone even heard of those? I can't find any info on the net whatsoever on them...)

I'd like to get some 18X8 (somethings...) wheels with 265/35/18 (25.303) tires, does that sound right?

I do have 4MATIC, which is why I just want the same size all the way around (Makes sense, right?)

Thank you in advance.

Thanks, I was just doing some math and it seems like these would be good matches

265/35/18
235/40/18

How much of a tolerable differance can there be with the size change before it starts to mess with the speedo and such?

And also, I have read that you are pretty much a tire god here

Have you heard of the Maxxis?

I have heard of the Maxxis tire but, not enough to offer an intelligent response about them ....

those tires sizes would work ok but, most MB dealers frown on staggered tires/wheels on a 4matic car even though they are offfered that way in Europe

Definitely my thoughts too...I should have been more specific and thrown an "Or" in there...

Thanks for the help (And if you had to choose between the two, WWLD?)
