Need Recommendation on lightest 18 wheels
I have an 05 E55 wagon, with K2 and other improvements. I would like to replace the stock 18 inch wheels with something a lot lighter. I would like to stick with the same 18 inch size and offset, everything being same as stock but just a lighter wheel. Anyone with any recommendations. I did a search but all references to wheel upgrades refer to 19 inch or larger. Thanks ahead for any help.

The lightest wheel possible you can get in 18" are Dymag wheels from Rennworx for about $8000 a set. Magnesium inner and carbon/kevlar outer barrel. Weighs about 12 lbs. You'll dyno over 500 rwhp because of the lower unsprung weight.

$8K a set, Yikes!!! Oh well, back to the drawing board. It looks like I will stick with stock 18 wheels. Regardless, thanks for the help and response.

I just went through this search/research.
I wanted 18x9 wheels all around while removing the stagger.
And I did't want to pay a lot for custom forged wheels.
I went with Kosei Racing wheels, 18x9 ET38 all around from TireRack.
They are 18.5lb versus 31lb for stock AMG wheels.
I don't like the look (Ricey) and the front center caps don't clear the hub, but that is only cosmetic.
I couldn't overlook the price and the weight savings.
And now I can put my stock wheels away.
Good Luck.

Hello JCJMW,
You can take a look at our Competition Series at www.hrewheels.com
Depending on what brake accomodations we will need to make, the fronts will come in around 18 - 18.5 lbs. and the rears will be about 19 - 19.5 lbs.
They use all titanium assembly hardware and are engineered to be extremely light and still be driven on the street.
As an example we saved 22 lbs. total compared to the factory 2007 Porsche GT3RS wheels with a set of our 19" C20's.
Call me if you have any questions.
