Hankook Icebear W300 Winter tires
Has anyone tried this winter tires? Hankook Icebear W300
This winter tires come in 225x40Rx18(f) 255x35R18(R) which seem to be the only brand I've found that works with my 18x8F, 18x9R AMG Monos II.
Anyone?

Yes
But they REALLY shine on ice and snow IFF you set the suspension up for winter driving. Last year I went thru a terrible ice storm here in NH and there were Range Rovers, etc. going off the road. I was just cruising at 45 mph and never broke a sweat while everyone else was slipping and sliding. They are inexpensive and wear well. Remember, if a winter tire doesn't handle ice it's just a liability.

Tires been on my car for a week now and rides very smooth and VERY quiet!! With all the positive feedbacks on Icebear W300, I am confident that I will make it through this winter.

So we at the first snow this morning and I had a chance to test out my Icebear winter tires and NO PROBLEMS at all. Driving on the snow was such an ease with Icebear tires. I didn't even have any trouble going up a 35-45 degree uphill when other cars including few 4x4 and suv's were having trouble just to stay in forward motion. So far so good.

Sunday we're supposed to get a n'easter so I guess I'll keep my head down.

Snow tires should be narrower, as a rule,
Having tires mounted on dedicated wheels is a convenience. Make sure the offsets are within recommended range. Maybe you should put your summer tires on the wider wheels if they are lighter. But check your owner's manual or TR.
(I met a fellow at a soiree, he asked me if I had the AMG, he had a CL600 and he asked me why his car handled funny all of a sudden and would I take a look at it. I said sure, checked it out and fairly quickly determined the tires/wheels were on backwards and reversed! I'm surprised they even fit. Did that car handle funny! Now this was a very wealthy fellow and he went to an independent to "save money".)
I have a staggered setup on my stock AMG wheels and just have the snows/summers changed over to the wheels. The dealer offers lifetime changeover and balance and they treat them with care so I don't have a problem. But if I had my druthers I'd have a set of dedicated winter wheels.
I had snow fun in the G 500 today going around stuck people. Still snowing here in NH.

What size are your stock rims
If they are the same weight or lighter, maybe you should put your summer tires on the wider rims?
Just a thought safety first. Check with an expert, not I.
