Lm5
This is a general question regarding trademarks. I've notice many imitation LM5 wheels out there. One is made by Rondell. Now, if the original style were the work of Lorinser, why do they allow fo these look-alikes to exist? Wouldn't they have some sort of trademark claim on it?

Replicas can be produced and sold with no problems as long as :
1. It is not a 100% copy... this may simply mean a different center cap. Many Brabus copies have embossed BRABAS instead of BRABUS
2. The dealer does not push these wheels as the original thing... you are not allowed to sell a replica LM5 as a "lorinser LM5"... but Rondell LM5 is OK.
Cheers,

I don't know for sure - but wheels may not have a Patent number. At least I have never seen or heard of a Patent on the look. Their trademark is copyrighted.

I think Rondel manufacture LM5 for Lorinser and most replicas are just one piece with multi piece look but I think Rondel LM5 is two piece though.
