Tire sizes on stock rims E63 030
I am getting new tires soon and am wondering if anyone has advise on increasing the tire size on the stock rims.
Now stock AMG E63 rims and tires are
Front
8.5J x 18 H2
1.5in offset = 38mm
245/40-18
Rear
9J x 18
1.54in
265/35-18 XL
For the 030 package I have
Front is the same as above
Rear
9.5J x 18 H2
1.73in offset = 44mm
265/35-18 XL
Any opinions would be appreciated. I do not want to roll the fender wells and I am not planning on lowering.
Thanks

Offsets are marked on the inside of the rims and are expressed in millimeters (e.g., "et30"). Your fronts offsets are likely 30mm and the rears likely 33mm, but you can easily confirm by reading the offsets marked on the rims.
You can easily move up to 275/35/18s in the rear, and depending on your actual offsets (not backspacing), you could probably do 285/35/18s as well. 285s are the widest tire you should mount on a 9.5" rim. I would leave the front size as is.
If you're concerned about handling, then I would just move up to the 275's since any increase in tire width in the rear will tend to increase the car's understeer, with 285s doing it more so than the 275s.

depends on the weather
first of all all AMG cars have rolled fenders from the factory. As far as, tire sizes 265 or 275 can be used with 265's being the better choice because of the gear ratio advantage that size offers
