will ET38 offset work on a C230 coupe?

02 C230 coupe
will ET38 offset work on a C230 coupe?
I have a 02 C230 coupe. I believe the stock offset is 35 (correct me if I am wrong). I am looking at a set of wheels that are 18x8 with a 38 offset. Will this work on my car? Will there be any affect to the ride or handling? Thanks in advance!
