Quick Tire Width Size Question...

WOndering what the range of sizes I can run on

20 x 9 fronts
20x 11 rears..

Current sizes on are 255/30/20 & 305/25/20

I'd like to try and run a bit smaller in width to get a 35 and 30 series for more sidewall. Has anyone played around with different widths??

Each tire that you look at should list a min/max wheel width.

is this for your W208???

unless you have a widebody conversion like mine, you will NEVER be able to run those tire sizes........

To actually answer the question (besides the vehicle fitment problems) the tire size range that you can fit on those wheels (width wise) is as follows:

On the 9" (bead to bead width) wheels you can fit as skinny as a 235 width tire, some VIP guys fit even 225s on 9" wheels. But those stretch quite a bit to fit, that is their style. 295s are about as wide as I'd say would actually fit a 9" wheel, considering they are 11.62" wide. Personally I'd go no wider than a 275, that is the BEST overall width to fit a 9" wheel.

On the 11" (bead to bead width) wheels I'd suggest between 265s to 315s. But really are you trying to fit these on the car in your sig or another vehicle? Because if you plan to do this on a CLK, there will be a good amount of expense involved in body mods to get the wheels, let along the tires to fit.
