Kuhmos VS. Generals VS. Vreds

Kuhmos VS. Generals VS. Vreds

I have narrowed down my search for tires to these probable 3 manufactures. I know they are not the most expensive tires out there, but from what I gather... they are a great buy for the price without sacraficing performance. (or my kidney to the blackmarket in India) lol...

Hoping to hear from my fellow MB owners that have knowledge with all three. Which would you prefer and why... POSITIVES and NEGATIVES.

Also, does anyone have any insight with tire sizes for 19's. The two most common setups I see are: 235/35 with 265/30 -OR- 225/35 with 255/30

Has anyone tried 225/35 with 265/30? I've looked at the tire calculator and realized that these demensions match the closest. Does tire Circumference and Revs per mile play a factor??

ive had kuhmo and general in the past, they are crap and never again will i buy them. Go with TOYO its a good compromise

I agree about the Kuhmo's didn't last at ALL... I would guess less than 10k

Toyo all the way , bu if you have a chance check Yokohama S-DRIVE . I always buy Michelin for my Mercedes but this time i did the YOKO S-DRIVE on 20" on my SL500 , It has the total package you look for on a tire. RAIN , HANDLING , SMOOTHNESS you name it !!! Excellent price

I run mere 6 cyl 300s and 320s, and have Michelin Pilots and General UHPs on most.

Just ordered another set of Generals, imo, great value there. well under $500 for 16s installed last week and -again- under $500 installed for a set of 225x50x17s coming in tomorrow, including installation.

+1 on Yoko S drive. I was going to go with Kuhmos on my 19's but spent the extra $190 to get these set and they are quiet. Drove in the rain today mind you it was just sprinkle but the roads were wet enough and grip were pretty damn good. $42 extra each tire was well worth the upgrade. I hate road noise.
