Would you take this deal?

I would like to have a matching rim on my spare tire that fits in the trunk. So that in the event that I have a flat, once the tire is changed, it is not noticible that I have had a flat tire.

I have been offered a factory 2001 E430 rim for $35.00, but the trouble is it is bent and I would have to pay to get it repaired. Since I've never had to have a rim repaired, i don't really know what I'm in for.

If it is repaired, will it still be safe and ride well? What should I expect to pay? Is it worth it or should I buy a new one?

What would you do?

Do you get a flat tire every week? If yes, then you should get a new wheel. If no, then you should stick with your stock spare wheel. Why bother buying a bent wheel, fix it, put it on the trunk and whenever you need to use it, it will only be used for a day? Dont you think its a waste of money? Just my $0.02!

My suggestion would be to find four people that would also like to have a matching spare wheel in their trunks. Then, take your four regular wheels, and trade them all for their spares. Then you'll have five spare wheels (including the one you already have), and they'll all match!

This is partially a joke, but partially not a joke because those black spare wheels look kinda cool.

Wheel repair and refinished will cost you about $150.
