Wide tires on stock rims suggestions???
Hi, I'm new to this forum - just got an 03 e500 sport with 87K - my tires have 60+% but eaten on the inside and fronts eaten like every other piece on the inside. obviously they're making very annoying noise. My mechanic says i need a new set of tires and alignment - I was wondering about plus 0 discount tire direct suggests - is anyone done that??? any opinions?
my size is 245/45/17 all around
I was thinking either 255/40(45) all around or
255/40 in the back and 245/45 or 235/50 in the front.

I am sure that would work. Check on 1010tires site where they let you compare diff sizes and the dimensions. I had 205/55 and went to 225/50, same diameter. With same size wheel it seems you have to go up by 20 for the size and down 5 for the profile.
