1999 Factory CLK 320 16 inch rims fit 2002 CLK 430???
I have a set of stock 1999 CLK 320 Rims. Ugly as sin but good for winter wheels. I originally got them for my CLK 430 but MB advised me that they wouldn't work and that the brakes are bigger on the 430 than the 320.
After reading some of the posts in this forum, I may have been deceived by MB. I ended up paying MB nearly $4,000 ($2600 US) for a set of 17 inch MB rims with Pirelli P210 tires.
I have a 2002 CLK 430 with OEM AMG 17 inch wheels. According to MB, the offset of the rim and the larger brakes found on all CLK (V8) 430s prevents us from using any 16 inch wheel including the stock ones found on the CLK 320.
Has anyone been able to use the CLK 320 16's on a CLK 430?

Poor planning = spending extra cash.
The "Stealership" took advantage of me and tried to charge me full price until I advised them that MB Canada had a discount that lasted 6 more days. Almost got taken again. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I don't believe the brakes are bigger on the CLK430 versus the CLK320.
I believe the brakes are the same size for all E320 E420 and E430 models - with and without sport package.
The dealership only deals with OEM sizes and can not and will not recommend anything that is not OEM.
