W211 and W209 wheels interchangable? (Aftermarket)

I'm looking to purchase a set of rims that were on a W211 E55 for my W209 CLK55. I've asked on a couple of different forums but haven't gotten a definitive answer on whether this will work or not so thought I would ask here. Seems like there's many well informed people in this particular sub-forum!

Wheel specs:
Front - 19x8.5 +36
Rear - 19x9.5 +32

I wanted to make sure I won't run into any issues. I've got an 05 CLK55 so it's got the bigger brakes, if that makes a difference.

Thanks all!

The rears should be okay. The fronts with possibly the right size tire say a 225/35 "might" work. I have a +32 with a 235/35 that runs very close to the strut. I am sure you will get the info here from someone possibly running this offset. Good luck with it. Mike

W211 and W209 use different sized lugbolts.

Thanks for the info guys.

Can you shed more light on this lugbolt size for me?
Is it a big issue or is there a work around?

What Black7 is referring to the ball radius size on a 209 is r12 and on the other a r14. they could in fact even have a different shank diameter. Sorry I missed that. I was only looking at the offsets. M

Thanks for the info. Are there special lugs which can be used? One with the R14 head and a 12mm shaft?
