Winter Tires for 2010 E350
Hello all,
I was hoping someone could help direct me with getting winter tires for my car. I currently have the Continental Procontour 245/45/R17.
I was going to buy the Dunlop SP Sport 3D that was showing up on the Tire rack site but then the mercedes dealer confused me and said that there was only a small list of mercedes benz recommended winter tires. I live in WV and have previously driven in snow with all season tires. But was hoping to ge some extra safety this year. Do I really have to change the tires? Also I was looking at some posts about new set of wheels, what does that mean??
All advice will be appreciated

You could run a set of 245/45-17 Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snows on your 350. I run them on my wifes ML320CDI and they are very grippy on ice and snow.

I installed a complete wheel/tire winter package from TIRERACK on my C63. The Continental Sp Wintersport 3D are fantastic. MB will hold the company line-fact is there aren't alot of "mercedes" approved tires out there for winter use.
Do you need "winter tires"-only if you want to drive in cold temperatures and in frozen precipitation.

Thanks guys......That is what I am not sure about. I mean I owned a 2006 E350 for more than 4 years and used the all season in the same weather.
Obviously sometimes it would freak me out driving in moderate snow and bad roads, so I though maybe this year try winter tires.
Should I or shouldnt I convert to the winter tires for now. Will I have to change back to all season once winter is done?
