I like the wet look as well on my tyres. I have used tyre dressers. Best place them to find them is a dealers who buy them in gallons which works out really cheap. Go the the detailer and ask for contact details and you will get the product delivered to you.

Take a wash cloth, pour some coke on it and wipe your tires down. You will be surprised at what a great look you get. It doesn't stay sticky or attract dirt. It does a really good job. Back before Armor all, used car dealers used to use coke to clean and condition tires. It works really well. 1/2 can will do four tires Take the remaining coke and pour it over ice and some rum, add lime and you have a Cuba Libre. Hope this will help you!

I use tire wet but I use a couple of layers. I do an initial swipe (making sure to saturate the rag and not spray on the tire directly) and do light reswipe to get the excess off. I wait a couple of hours and let it sit and dry (usually overnight) and reapply using the same technique.

PS...I haven't had much luck with the gel applications so I have stuck with the spray bottle type and saturate the rag so it sinks in...

Funny, I just bought that today. I haven't tried it yet, but my Corvette-nut-fanatic neighbor uses it and he is VERY particular.
