Exclamation Bolt Lugs Questions

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a set of AMG Rims off a W208 CLK430.
They are all the same size, 17 x 7.5 ET37.
I am planing to use 5mm spacers for the front, I am wondering if i could still use my stock bolt lug (39mm i think).
For the rear, i will use a 20 mm spacers, how long of bolt lug do i need?
BTW I have 2005 C230 Sedan.
Please advise. Thank you very much.

The rule of thumb is to catch 6-7 threads. The lug bolt should extend out of the wheel/spacer 17mm. Since you have both wheels it will be easy to check the extension. One thing to check is the ball seat. MB lug bolts use a round ball seat and a corresponding round socket in the wheel. At some point MB began switching over to 14mm (from 12mm) but some may still be 12. These should match in size to ensure that the bolt is centered. You can get an OEM lug bolt for the AMG wheels from the dealer. Usually only about $8. Also, if necessary you can get hybrid lug bolts with 14mm ball seats and 12mm shank from RAD-USA and prestigewheel.

Good luck.
