Tire Recs
As I'm going to be receiving new wheels in a couple of months, I just wanted to hear some input from the tire freaks. Here's a little list I've compiled in what I'm looking for in my next set, from most important to least important:
- price
- ride comfort
- longevity
- tire noise (obviously quieter is more preferable)
- performance (wet/dry, doesn't matter as I'm in CA)
I've heard Nexans will fit the bill quite nicely as they have a very attractive price point, ride decently, long treadlife, low noise, and provide decent performance. I'm not looking at anything crazy like PS2s, PZeroes, or Falken 452s since I won't ever track.
Also, I'm currently on the stock 16" with Continental ContiProContacts with 205/55/R16 on all corners. What would be recommended widths/profile I should run to maintain OEM wheel AND tire diameters if my new wheels measure 18x8.5F and 18x9.5R?
Thanks in advance!
