KW Coilovers and front sway bar
Using the adjustable KWs, I lowered the car ~1.8 in front and ~1.5 in back. I hated how much space there was in the front wheel well, even after upgrading to 19" wheels and tires with a 20 mm H&R spacer in back and 10 mm H&R spacer in front. The handling and high speed stability has improved noticeably. The car doesn't understeer nearly as bad but it still does slightly. I ordered a front H&R sway bar only (not the rear) because a friend advised me to try that first to tighten up the front which may fix the understeer by itself. He said stiffening up the rear sway when I already have understeer may actually exacerbate the problem. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try, but decided to ask the wise oracles on this forum.
So, is he crazy, am I crazy, or is there some truth to upgrading the front sway only to reduce the understeer? Has anyone else done this with H&Rs or similar sway bars - upgraded the front only? Thanks for any advice.
