nearside wears quicker than offside on C240(W203)
I have a C240 Auto and am finding that the nearside rear tire is wearing out much more quickly than the offside. The wear across each tire is quite even so I don';t think it's the tracking. At the front the tyre wear is even.
Any ideas?
My initial thought was that it was due to the nearside wheel spinning more in the dust at the sides of the English country lanes.
Cheers,
Paul

In the UK:
Nearside = side nearest the kerb
Offside = side nearest the middle of the road
I think!!! or is it the other way round :-))
My worn tyre was on the kerb side.

The right-side/driver-side(UK)/street-side(UK) tire will wear a bit faster than the left-side on rear wheel drive cars. This is normal since the right-side wheel is the main drive wheel. The wear difference isn't much, but will be noticable.
