Tire Question.
#1.) 18x7.5 ... you should really look for an 18x8
#2.) 225/45-18 is too tall (think 225/40-18)
#3.) 255's won't fit a 7.5
#4.) do not stagger the tire size on non-staggered wheels

Harris, I believe he does. Now if I could just figure out what I was thinking when I posted this question. Any way, Luke, you are without a doubt an expert on the subject and the sole reason that I shop at Tirerack. It goes without saying that I appreciate your insight. Will 7.5 vs. 8’s make that big of a difference? In a perfect world, I’d like to have the 18x8.5 & 18x9.5 combo, but the manufacture doesn’t make those sizes. In order to have those sizes, I’ll nearly double what I’m paying for my wheels and I’m wondering if it’s really worth it for a half inch. Once again, any insight it appreciated.
Thank you! Luckily I found them in a 18x8.5. I think that'll work well for a '98 C230. I'm going 18x8.5 all around to allow for rotation. I've decided on the Kumo's 712's from tirerack (assuming their not directional). Can you offer any advice of proper offsets. How's 20 all around? I think I heard 35(F) and 38(R) . . . but I'm not sure.
