G500: Biltein HDs vs Koni SPX
The Gwagen is hitting 105k miles and the original dampers are starting to leak.I expect the required shock replacement to be a final purchase and I intend to keep the truck.
MBUSA replaced all the springs under CPO warranty at 97k miles.
I have always had good luck with Bilsteins but the Koni promotion is attractive.
Most of my driving is on road but I do use the truck for hunting and fishing. For example, I run Yoko AT/S tires, not the HT/S.
BTW what is this "dual tube" Koni SPX that the Koni USA website says are offered for the G and that formerly British Range Rover? Are there any advantages? Fitment problems? I would leave the Konis in the factory setting.
Can someone compare and contrast?
