Can one only buy OEM wheels from dealers?

My cursory search seems to tell me that you can't buy actual Mercedes wheels new from anyone but Mercedes. Is this true? Just making sure before I decide one way or another to try to find used or maybe even go with non-MB wheels.

I've seen some "OEM" wheels on a few sites and they really do look a lot like MB wheels, but they mostly admit that they are not really OEM wheels, and also the AMG symbol is missing from wheels listed as AMG style.

Thanks all for your help!!

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
What rims

are you looking for?
Stock oem rims IN PERFECT SHAPE are always for sale on the forums and craigslist.
You can use w210 w211 w/ special lugs and other models if the ET is correct.
Tirerack and discount tire have nice aftermarket choices as well.
You could buy a whole W210 in great shape with the money you would spend on oem rims if all the choice you had was to be screwed by the you know who

something more like this...

I'm looking for something more like these rims. I don't know if these can even go on my 2006 CLK500 Cabrio, but along these lines:

or this from a CLK63:

These are what I have now, and they're okay but I like the split look of the two above better:

Yeah you are probably right about just trying to get some nice ones from the forums or ebay or craigslist. Buying new could be like $1000 a wheel eh? Thanks for that thought.

Definately a lot of replica sites out there...

I dont know about you, but I'm not so sure about the refurbs when buying a whole set. I still need to be convinced that they arent cracked wheels that have been welded and painted.

I just found this place that has OEM's out of the UK: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net

Not as bad as the dealer so maybe check them out

Your goal if staggered required

for your clk.....

7.5 wide front 37et 225/45/17
8.5 rear 30et 245/40/17
is what you are looking for in 17's
if you are looking at 18's different plus 1 profile tires of course.
