dealer tire balancing??
hello
just bought 4 tires from tire rack for the wifes 2007 c280. im not sure if i should bring it to the dealer to have it balanced?
i thought i read somewhere...possibly here that there is something special about the way mb does their wheel balacing.
or...
are they all done the same way and i can just go anywhere to do this?
mb dealer wants excess of $200 to do all four tires mounted and balanced...thats pretty expensive
thanks

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
So... umm... Why are you linking a website address to a locksmith in Dallas, again?
If the link is supposed to be your signature, then please add it as your signature in the Control Panel. People click on just about any link nowadays, more-so if it's not in a signature.

Not really.
Most MB Dealers have a Hunter GPS 9700 wheel balancer which performs dynamaic road force wheel balancing. Among other things it balances the wheel in two planes. Check it out at:

My Dealer charges $150 wheel alignment and $50 for the road force wheel balancing. After viewing the video and experiencing the results, it is the only way to perform wheel balancing to the degree that the car is capable of being driven.
