I presently have AMG Style VI rims on my 09' S550. I am looking at purchasing a set of rims with a 45mm offset 20" x 8.5 & 20" x 9.5. The factory rim offset is 43mm, will the 2 mm cause a problem?

It won't cause any problems but with the widths of the new wheels and those offsets, it's not going to look as good as it could with a lower offset wheel. Typically on those sizes you want to run a +35 front and rear for the best look.

Thanks for the help. Does that mean that an offset of 35 to 43 doesn't need spacers and would look best?

+35 looks best but the wheels you are looking at are fine. When I do those cars i prefer a slightly lower offset just because I'd rather see the wheels come out just a bit further than stock. You should not need spacers at all on an S550
