Difference between Authentic LM5 & LM5 Replicas
this guy quote me for $850 each, polish
My name is Omid and I own an '02 CLK430. I recently purchased the Lorinser LM5 style wheels 19x8.5 with 235/45ZR19 tires. I have yet to put them on however. I was just wondering if I should get spacers or if I should just cut my bolts shorter. I was told I could do either or, however wanted to take the correct route instead of just guessing. The wheel states it has an offset of ET38.... so if I were to get spacers, what size do you recommend? I think the rear wheels will be fine, but i might need spacers for the front ?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks guys!
For an `02 CLK, the mounting kit you need is 433 4000 00 which includes a 7mm huncentric Lorinser spacer and the appropriate length 12x1.5 lug bolts. Wheel lock kit 434 4000 00 is also available with locking lugs of the correct length. Tire sizing on your CLK should be 235/35R19 all around, or 235/35R19 Front and 265/30R19 Rear if you are running the 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 staggered set up.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

let me know if you want them.
I took my car to have all 4 wheels and tires put on and it was a DISASTER ! I took them to my local Mercedes Benz dealership here in the DC area to have them "professionally" installed while I took my baby in for its Service "A". I figured, why not have them just fix em up for me, since they afterall will know the specs and everything, and i could be rest assured that they will be responsible if its not moutned right.......
WELL.... believe it or not, they installed all 4 and they looked beautiful.
HOWEVER... on the way home both of my front tires went flat because they were rubbing ! WHAT IDOTS !!!!!!!!!!
To make a long story short, they paid for the towing, had my old wheels and tires put back on, and provided me a rental car during this whole mess. They apologized and simply stated that the vehicle needed spacers and they could not assist me any further.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! I KNOW SOMEONE HERE CAN TELL ME WHAT specs OUR WHEELS HAVE and CAN EXPLAIN WHAT et38 means on these lorinser replicas i have!!
better yet..... someone just tell me what mm spacers i need and ill do it myself!!!!!!!
HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP !
The strongest and lightest wheels are: Forged,Pressure cast and Poured cast
The bottom line is when is comes to a cast wheel, The pressure cast wheels are lighter and stronger than poured cast wheels which is how the list you gave above are made, The poured cast wheels are very heavy. My buddy used to drill out wheels for Brabus and when he would hit a air pocket in the cast it would make a pop sound. This is one of the reasons why the pressure cast is stronger and superior(no air pockets due to pressure cast) and I would expect to see the trend moving this way. Asia is leading the way on this.
