CLK 230 Kompressor
Check out my car on the CLK w208 picture thread pages 72, 73, 74. Lowered on Sachs performance shocks and springs. Don't know which spring pads were used, but I think they were not the thinnest as I had the fronts raised a little because the chin was scraping on everything.
I can't tell you if they are softer or harder than the other brands because I have not tried them!
I can tell you though, that I find the ride firm without being harsh. If the car was fully laden with 4 adults, the rear tyres rub occasionally. If I am alone in the car, the rears still rub when I go fast over larger dips on the road. So I suppose you can say that the can be considered soft or comfortable in that respect. If all roads were smooth and flat, I would like the rear to ride a bit lower.
I do not drive the car too hard, and I can tell you that there is little roll in the corners.
The guy at the shop told me that Sachs is a bit softer than Eibach.
I think in the end, you have to consider how low you wanna go, the road conditions, how many people you gonna carry, how wide you want your wheels and tyres to be, and how hard you wanna drive your baby.
