Sorry, accidentally sent out the post before typing in the question.
For some reason on my w208, the right rear wheel is more recessed into the wheel well than the left. I assume the offset is the same for both rear wheels.
I am using 12 mm spacers on both sides but there is a visible difference between the 2 sides.
My question is can I use a wider spacer on the right to match the left? I estimate the difference to be 5 mm.

depends on the weather
you really should find out the reason for the difference rather than just trying to hide it ...... there could be something structurally wrong with your car ...... have it checked out
