Porterfield or Greenstuff ??
I'm trying to get rid of the annoying brake dust on my C280. I was thinking about changing the factory pads to an aftermarket brand to reduce the dust.
I don't want any loss of performance or any noise. Can anyone make any recommendations on the Porterfield or the Greenstuff pads? Do they squeak/squeal more than the OEM pads? Will the sensors fit into these pads? Will I need to replace the sensors with the pads?

Porterfields
I use Porterfields in the front of my C320 and am very happy with them. Mine did not come with holes for the wear sensor, but I've read they have holes now. You only need to replace the sensor when they have worn through. I think the Porterfield pads perform as well or better than stock pads. No squeeling once broken in....and I used ceramic paste for lubrication. Make sure you follow a proper break in procedure.

While I personally haven't tried either, my vote is leaning towards the Porterfields if money isn't an object -- the Greenstuffs are known to really eat rotors and actually dust more than they claim, while also being squeaky. I've never heard a bad thing about Porterfields. I'd run a set of R-4S's on the street myself if they weren't quite so expensive...(using Mintex Red Box right now on my car).

I haved used ebc's not real impressed w/ them they do dust a lot. Stopping power is pretty good never tried porterfields. I tried a new pad called Rotex Gold on my car awesome stopping power they are really low dusting also. The rotex is a kevlar metallic pad dont know much more about it but it sure works good some of my friends that drive bimmers swear by this pad.

I Use Porterfields ...With Great results!
I Also Fab a Metal SHIM to help Brake Squeak it Works!
As Luke Stated Mintex is also a Great Pad....Several Choices!
