Just got Snow Tires!!!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I got snow tires couple of weeks ago from the Tire Rack (drove 100 miles to get there so they can do the install)(I looked for you Luke, but you had the day off).
I had my heart set on the Dunlop M3's but ended up with Pirelli Snow Sport 210 (205/55/16-91H) on OEM 240 wheels that I got on ebay. So far it does feel a bit squishy compared to the pilot sports, but it improved my ride a bit, and I have been very happy with performance in both dry and wet conditions.
I am running 36 psi now before the snow to break them in and figured I should be around 30 front/34 rear psi once the snow starts.
I could have waited a couple of weeks since it does not look like it will snow any time soon in Chicago, but I was so excited about the thought of a specialized tire that I just had to get em early in the season. I even put two coats of wax on my wheels before mounting the snows
