Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires directional?

I was looking at 225/55Z R16 Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires (tyres for the other side of the pond). It's label with an "outside" on the tires. That would make the tread profile different on the inside vs. the outside thread patterns.
The tires also look as if they have a rotational difference too, but no sign or marking which indicate the direction to have them turning.
Should periodical tire rotation also include an right to left?
I also noticed that the outter treads on Michellin Defenders and the Conti Extreme Contact DWS are about 1/32 less deep than the middle threads. Is this true on other brands and models of tires?
I wish Costco would carry the Conti tires.

Just asking for clarification and trying to describle that the grove pattern does not look equalized between the right and left for my four tires. But as you and Conti said they are not directional.
