Tire Fitment for W212 and 19" wheels

For my 2014 E550 4Matic, I picked up some optional 19" wheels with these specs:

19x8.5ET35
19x9.5ET46

I'd like to order rubber soon and need some feedback. I'm leaning towards Michelin PSS, Bridgestone S04's or Goodyear Asymmetric 2.

245/35 or 255/35 up front?
275/30 or 285/30 in the rear?

Stock OD is 25.7 inches and recommended sizes are 247/275 for the optional AMG 19" set. These wheels sit about 12mm outboard from stock 18" set. Two goals:

* Maintain OD front to rear if possible
* No fitment issues

Feedback?

Only MBs - the best or nothing
If your priority is to maintain identical to factory AND identical front and rear diameters, then 245/35 and 285/30. However, if you want to maintain proper load while still staying close enough (but not identical) front to rear diameter (well within 0.3" which is perfectly fine) then 255/35 and 285/30. No fitment issues with either pairing.

Thanks. I know the tire sizes are good it's the combo of those and the 12mm outboard position and whether that gets close to the fenders.

With et46 285/30 on 9.5" wheel is really not close to fender (its not fender flush by at least 5 mm). However, with et35 255/35 on 8.5" is fender flush, but not rubbing on stock hight (if it concerns you go with 245/35 but run at least 40 psi).

For the sizes mentioned I would recommend the following

245/35/19
285/30/19

I do run higher pressure but why would it be necessary? 245/ is the stock width and I'd get an XL load rating (per OEM guidelines)

It has nothing to do with tire's width.

Your stock tires (245/40-18) are 97 XL - recommended (supplied on the car's stickers) front tire pressure is 38 (rear also 38) and 39 fully loaded (rear 44).

245/35-19 are only 93 (XL version), while 255/35-19 are 96XL. (285/30 rear are 99XL so you're fine). Your car weights over 4400 lbs unloaded. If you'll install 93XL you should compensate by running a higher pressure (I have 255/35 and run 40-41, for 245/35 I would run not less than 43).

FYI: MB builds-in into every 4matic car about .3" tolerance to account for uneven tread wear. So 255/285 is only .2" - within the window - and will maintain stock like tire loads. If you think you might have a problem with transfer case by running 255/285 and MB will deny warranty let me assure you that 245/285 will result in the same response from MB. Just keep your stock wheels and should you have any issues (extremely unlikely) with whatever you choose to install, swap originals back on prior to taking the car in.

Which specs wheels are these - from post #1 or post #8? 245/285 tires? Looks like from post #1 based on specs since these are CLS accessories wheels.

post 1 and 245/285. Fitment is perfect in the rear.....front is a little outboard for my normal tastes but its not bad. 8.5ET42-45 would be ideal.
