Best Ultra Performance for C class
Luke,
I want the best all around ultra high performance/ max summer tire for my W 203 C 230K Coupe. Stock size 225/45/17
You have given me great advice before, which one should I get?
I have the Michelin Pilot Sport now. At 15,500 miles I need to start looking for new tires soon. I have maybe 3,000 miles left.
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Dunlop SP Sport 9090
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position
I noticed the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 are one of the few with 11/32nds, most are 10/32nds. What reason do they do this?
I still like a quiet tire, the Michelin Pilot Sports are good enough for me, also good enough in the Los Angeles rain. Still people seem to rate the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 as the best tire?
Is the Goodyear ever going on sale soon?

I would highly recommended the Goodyear GS-D3's. I have tried all your choices (Pilots, S-03's) and have found the Goodyears to give all the dry performance, much better wet, and best of all, they are FAR quieter.
Luke, have you actually tried the Goodyear's and compared to the S-03's? A friend of mine just this week threw away his S-03's with 5,000 miles due to the road noise. I think you would be pleasantly surprised at how the Goodyears make you feel like someone turned off the "white noise" soundtrack all of us have become used to over the years of using the Pilots, Pirelli's, S-03's, etc., etc.
