wow.. thats what i figured. the stealership was quoting me like $500 for the front and another $500 for the rears, but that did include labor costs..... not a big surprise i was about to get raped by the stealership.....

has anyone else on the forum recently had this work done? and can tell me the price the stealership charged? really thinking of taking luke up his price and finding a shop that will do the labor for less than the stealership....

OEM Parts
Front Pad Set = $53
Front Rotors/ea. = $60
Rear Pad Set = $46
Rear Rotors/ea. = $45
Labor = $0.00 (DIY)

Total Price =$309

Note:
Your dealer prices on the parts shouldn't be much different than those above.

as kwik posted, those prices shouldn't be far from the stealerships, however, if you want to spend a little more, you could go with the brembo cross drilled pads and semi-metallic pads for around $500 and just install them yourself.

Yes, go HERE and send them an Email. It looks like they are doing an update to the site & some items don't show currently, but I know they sell this stuff.

Funny How I needed new Pads/Rotors
My Stealership (MB Manhattan) said I needed new pads/rotors about 1000 miles ago.

So far, the dashboard alarm has yet to sound...

(2002 - E320)...

Here's one of the most popular sources used by MB Club members...

http://www.buymbparts.com/

Here's another one....

You can also call Caliber Motors in California at 1-800-252-6877 and ask for Al Trevino in parts. Make sure you tell them what kind of shipping you want. Caliber Motors is a Mercedes dealership that discounts parts.

I've use all three sources with good success.

labor is 5.0hrs to do the entire job at a general MB dealership, parts on that 208.

Fr pads 125
frrotors ~ 120ea
Rr pads 95
Rr rotors~80ea
at that price, grease and sensors are included.

always get new wear sensors, and apply the brake paste to the back of the pads.

just do it yourself

Cheap Place
Hi,
I had a full brake job (replaced front and back brake pads/rotors and sensors) for my C 230 at National Tire and Battery about a year ago for a little over $500.
I was qutoed at my stealership around $800.

Hope that helps.
