Toyo T-1 or Pilot Sport 2 on C32?

Which tires should I go for (stock size)? Of pretty much equal concern to me are weight, quietness/smoothness, "tramline" resistance, quality/reliability, and dry handling/grip (especially at the drag strip!)

It only rains 4 days/year in San Diego, so wet performance is not a big issue. Nor am I concerned about saving a few bucks by going with one or the other.

My understanding is that the Toyo is slightly lighter (maybe 1 lb.) and that both are excellent tires. I trust the Michelin name a little more for quality/reliability.

I am sure that I will be pleased with either, but your input is what will make up my mind.

My buddy is scheduled to have PS2s put on his C32 today. He's had Pilot Sport, Bridgestones and Pilot Sport A/S tires.

I've heard nice things about the PS2 and the SO3s.....many folks will swear by either.

My next choice? Probably the PS2s on my CLK55. But, I'd consider the SO3s and the new Goodyear F1 GS-D3.

The Bridgestones look nice, but they are pretty heavy (I think each S03 weighs about 4 lbs. more than the T-1). I really wanted to shed some unsprung weight off of my car.

is treadwear a concern for you?

if not, yokohama avs sport people say have great traction on dry. I think pilotsport is still the best all around street tires tho.

Question

Is that from personal exp.? I have the Toyo T1-S on my rears...after about a 600 mi. break-in period they are they stickiest tire I've ever put on my C320. Previous tires were the SP9000's and Nitto 555R's. I'd like to tri the S03's, but they don't make a 265 in my size.
