ASA St4 wheels vs. Rondell #80 wheels...which do you like
I WANT TO UPGRADE TO 18" WHEELS ON MY '99 E430 BENZ-
currently I have the stock 17's that came with the Sport Package.
1. I'm considering The Rondell #80 2 piece wheel or the ASA ST4 wheel. Which do you prefer?
2. What tires do you like in the price range of Goodyear Eagle F1's? (I prefer GoodYear Eagle F1's, but they are out of stock).
3. Should I lower the car? If so what brand will give the best ride & look combo? I love luxury
Thanks for your input

Hey, thats my sig mpic idea!
Lookin' good tho
Probably won't go wrong with those choices of wheels (if on a budget). Honestly tho I don't know what the ASA's are like in terms of quality, altho Tirerack does swear by their quality.
Heard some good reviews about the GY F1's also (my friend has had them for almost a month now and seems happy).
As for lowering, definitely for much better handling (especially to get rid of the floaty feel). As many of the recent threads have conveyed, the H&R cupkit is great in terms of balance and a real low look, or H&R springs with Bilstein sport Shocks. Althernatively Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks is also good (my set up). Really depends on your budget.
If you don't like to be too low, the height and tilt can be adjusted quite economically slightly with spring pads. Good luck!

cause if you hit a pothole at 75 mph with any wheel, your gonna bend it.I was shocked by the damage, that I didnt pop the tire.So it might have been worse.I was able to drive at 60 for another 6 miles and get it home.Thank god thats over!!!

'04 Silverado Z71 - sold all my Benzes and need another!
I like the Rondell #80 wheels because I like the LM5 look. Alex has those in 19's on his car and they're sweet! Since going with Toyo's I really like them. Less noise and great all weather handling...

2001 CLK55 AMG
I talked with Luke yesterday and I think I am going to spring for a set of 18" ST4s on my 208 CLK55. I think that chrome would look best, especially on a black car. For the price, I don't think you can beat the ASAs.
