what do you guys think of Falken Azenis ST112?
"i have also driven cars fitted with falken azenis (spelling?). these were track tires with DOT approval to be used on the street as well. no question these were the ultimate in tires, but not well suited to street use. they have a higher optimal temp range and also last under 10,000 miles."
Drove my brothers VW Golf with Falkens and didn't like it at all, don't know if it was the same type of Falkens but the price says it all.
The price is comparabel to the Toyo T1-S and Yoko AVS ES100's. I was leaning towards them as the treadwear rating is higher therefore I would think they would last longer and I read they are a pretty good tire.
Hmmm. Back to the research.
Thanks
Mike
Well I can quote another board member:

I have driven on Falken Azenis and thought they were a great tire. Fantastic dry grip and great price. Down Side, they wear out quickly, they are loud, and you have to be a little more conservative on them in the wet than many other tires.
I decided to go with the Falken's this time around. I will give feedback once they are on. I am not to worried about the wear as they are for my girlfriends car and she doesn't ride it hard. Can't wait to get those AMG's on to give a much better look. She only gets on it when she is driving my S4.
Thanks again
Mike
