Probably stupid questions, but...
When I order my tires, how are they shipped, where are they shipped to, and who installs them? Never bought tires online before so please be patient.....

The last time I ordered tires they were shipped UPS Ground. I had them shipped to my work for convinience, but I could have had them delivered where I wanted. They were installed by Big O tires. I think the answer to all of you question lies purely in how you choose to handle the transaction. Good luck with that! Who are you planning to order from? Talk to Luke, he'll take care of you.

I have left Luke a voice mail a few minutes ago, but am short on time so I though I would post the questions as well. Is Big O the company Tirerack has do their installs or can/will anyone do the install? I am ordering another set of Goodyear F1 GS 295/45/18 they are the greatest tires!

I bought mine through Discount Tire Direct because Tire Rack didn't have the brand I wanted. I paid for the install out of pocket. Are you getting the install included in the price of the purchase? If so I was not aware that could be done. If that is the case you will probably have to go to a place approved by Tire Rack.

Anyone'll do the install for you. You can get 'em shipped anywhere as well, so if you have a shop that you're comfortable with, call them first, but the easiest thing to do is have tirerack ship to them. Luke'll provide you with a tracking #, so you'll be able to see when they come in.
If you don't have a shop, then using one that's on Tirerack's installation center listing is most likely fine.
Faulting all of that, you can just get 'em sent to your home, then go shopping for an installer on your own.

Still researching options
Discount tire wants $1000 for four tires mounted and balanced, but no hazzard gaurantee. I see the same tires here for $202 a piece, may be able to save a few bucks. To get the hazzard is about another $150. This will be the fourth set of these tires for me which last close to 20k miles and have never had an issue so would probably forego the hazzard gaurantee. Just dont know who Tirerack has approved for their installs and/or the total price with delivery, and install. It may work out to be the same $1000 but with more effort on my part.

Thank you also, I just spoke with DT and they will charge me $200 for install and ride match balance. I am hoping Tirerack has a recommended shop that will charge less, $200 sounds kinda high to me?
