Best Stock Tires?

We are getting a MY05 E320 CDI for European Delivery. I understand that they will swap tires between brands in Sindelfingen for a small fee. I have been told they come with Michelin, Conti, or Goodyear tires.

Does someone know what model tires they come with and what are the relative advantages/disadvantages of each?

Which tire would you recommend?

Thanks,

David

The ContiTouringContacts and Michelin MXV4 Plus seem to be not well liked by their owners on the Tire Rack forums.

Would I be better off just getting a higher rated Bridgestone LS-Z/V/H or ContiPremierContact? Or Kumho ASX?

And save the original tires for the next owner.

Thanks,

David

You can do what ever you want with the original tires once you get the car back over here. But saving them for the next owner is not advisable. How long would you store them? With or without pressure/wheels? ETC.
