So I just finished browsing 8 pages of search results on wheels and shocks, lol. The confusion is greater than ever. I have an 01 CLK 430...
The Plan --> H&R Sport Springs + bigger wheels (18 or 19)
So I read all about "rolled" fenders (don't know what that means or if I have them), sort of get the displacement issue, not sure about the bolt lenght issue but assume that depends on the wheels you get...
Let's say I was getting the Sport Edition Tekno 19x8 wheels from TireRack.com. It looks like the same 5 bolt pattern, but can't be sure. Would I have to change bolt length for these and what dictates if you need to change the bolt length or not? Would I need spacers for this wheel, and if so why? Would I have to get "rolled fenders?" All of this is assuming I throw in the H&Rs which are a 1.4" and 1.3" drop...
I know it's a lot to throw out there at once, but I'm retarded. Thanks for any inputs...
Cheers,
Dominik

fender rolling link
the wheel distributor or manufacturer wil determine if you need different length lugs, in other words 'me' if it's a wheel we carry. In the case of the 19" Techno's yes you will need new lug hardware which I will include at no charge.

Thanks for the link on fender rolling. I wouldn't dare try that on my baby, lol. I'd have to let a pro get it, but I'd be nervous :-) Thanks for the info on the bolts too. When I get back in country I'll look into it further...
