Unhappy HRE 447r on w209 CLK500 Please Help!

I really need some feedback on this. I was talking to a friends friend last night and he told me that the w209 CLK500 is built in a weird setup for the front rims. So if I were to buy a set of Iforged 3 pc rims I would need spacers in the front. But Im actually looking at the 447rs for HRE and they look pretty nice to me. I was asking my friends friend about it and he told me that because of the weird setup, I cant get much lip in the front, is that true? If I do get rims I would like a 1.5 - 2 inch lip in the front and 3 inches in the back. Can anyone tell me if I can get the 1.5-2 inch lip on the front rims with the HRE 447rs on my CLK500? Please help!

The W209 and W203 share the exact same chassis. Their wheel fitments are the same. I dont know why your friend made that claim, but if you are really considering IForged, you'd better read this thread first: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/78727-why-i-should-have-bought-hre.html.

HRE will give you 1.5" front lip and 2.5" rear lip, thats the maximum that you can get. There are no spacers for HREs. Btw, I am STILL waiting for your call!

really appreciate your input harris, sorry havent called you still all this time! I have been overwhelmed with so many things I want for my car and I cant decide on which to get I think first off I will get some springs. I think thats one of the most important thing if I want bigger wheels. Dont think i can afford carlsson rs coilovers. I am thinking of the renntech springs.

depends on the weather
what he's is calling a weird setup might be referring to the larger brakes

does the bigger brakes have an effect of having a smaller lip in the front?
