Lowering links

I have a 2007 CLS550 and want to lower it using lowering links but can't find out how much of a drop the new links will offer. I also want to know if anyone has run into issues with the bolts on the bottom of the factory front air shocks hitting the tires. I have 20" wheels on the car and with the suspension in sport mode it sits about 1/2"-3/4" from the top of the tire. I'm worried that by installing the lowering links the bolts will hit the tires while driving. If anyone who has lowering links installed can help with these questions I would appreciate it. Thank you
