Hi Guys,

Just bought a new 2005 C230 Sport Sedan. The PSI numbers in the fuel filler flaps are *minimums* right, not recommended values?

Because I checked the pressures set by the dealer and they are all about 4PSI above the minimums.

Can I basically inflate my tires to any pressure between the minimums on the fuel filler flap and the maximums embossed on the tires?

Thanks,

depends on the weather
The recommended pressure is just that .... a recommendation .... you can use air pressure to tune the handling to your taste .... a few pounds here and there can make a huge difference in the way a car handles

Hi Luke,

Thanks for the reply, this is good to know. I've read elsewhere that you don't want to go 6psi over the recommendations (I have stock 17" wheels on the C230 sedan).

I think I will probably keep it around 4-5psi +, I like the better handling and don't mind feeling a few bumps in the road.
