Luke, looking for tires to replace my 225/45 R17 Bridgestone Turanzas

I have these as OEM tires on my BMW 325i sport. I think they are ER30s? but I am not sure. They are pretty quiet tires (I think they are quieter than the firehawks that i had) , ride fairly smooth, and seem to hold in the corners. I am looking for something that is quieter than these tires, more comfy, and better in the rain. I was thinking of the michelin pilot sport 2, what do you suggest?

a touring tire will offer better ride quality than a performance tire ... have you looked at the Turanza LS model

I wanted to stay with a performance tire for my 17 inch wheels.. currently running the ER30s. So you think the GSD3s are quieter and smoother riding then michelin pilot sport 2s or turanza ER30s? The firehawks I had on the lexus were not as quiet as I had hoped, maybe it was just the car. I have heard a lot of praise for the PS2s is why i am asking.
